🧘 Train Your Mind
🌎 Save The Planet
A four-week mindfulness course for people working on climate change and sustainability.
Why this course?
Solving climate change will be the defining challenge of this century. And to solve it, we need millions of amazing people -- like you -- to get engaged and stay engaged. But to sustain our efforts over the long-run, we also need to take care of ourselves.
In the last decade, mindfulness meditation has exploded in the West and has helped millions of people improve their mental health and well-being. But building a meditation habit is hard, especially if your only support system is an app. Also, climate change poses many unique mental & emotional health challenges not addressed by mainstream resources.
That's why I created this course. I wanted to take my 7+ years of meditation experience and create a highly accessible course tailored to folks in the climate and environmental community. My hope is that by investing in ourselves, we can then be of greater service to others and this planet.

About your instructor

John McBride
I've been a regular meditator for over 7 years and seen first-hand the transformative impact that mindfulness can have on your life. It's benefitted not only my mental health, but also my relationships, personal growth, and professional development.
Now, I want to share these tools with more people. I’ve spent the last two years in Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s mindfulness teacher training program through the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley and Sounds True. I also spent three years working at Calm, the world's leading meditation app, where much of my focus was on helping make mindfulness more accessible for new audiences.
Recently, I decided to dedicate the next phase on my life towards solving the climate crisis. By day, that means working at a climate tech company. By night, that means sharing my passion for mindfulness with other folks in the climate movement.
